AGM business

The main formal business of the AGM comprises the acceptance of the Area Annual Report in which Officers and Groups outline their work and achievements during the year, the acceptance of the Annual Accounts – where the money came from and went to – and the Election of Area Officers.  Nominations may be made for any of the Area Officer posts – Chairman, Secretary etc. – either to the Secretary before the meeting, or at the meeting.

The Area Annual Report (which includes the agenda) will be available on the Area website from mid-January.

The Area AGM will also consider any Motions to be submitted to General Council 2017.  Any such motions must be submitted to the Area Secretary (dnixon27@waitrose.com) in writing (by email will do) at least 14 days before the date of the Area AGM (or at least 28 days for motions concerning the Area Constitution). These motions will be placed on the Hampshire Area website 14 days before the AGM.  Printed copies will be available at the meeting.

The formal AGM may be followed by a talk by our guest speaker (not yet arranged), then a Q & A session.
