The Ramblers
is Britain's biggest charity working to promote walking and to improve
conditions for the benefit of everyone, so that they can discover the
enjoyment that walking outdoors can bring.
The Ramblers works to protect and enhance the natural beauty of the
countryside, and was one of the leading organisations in the 50-year
campaign to get National Park status for the New Forest. It has
also campaigned for many years for
freedom to roam over uncultivated open country. Access to it in
our area started on 14 December 2004. |
